This promo animation is for announcing Vans Checkerboard Day 2021.
I worked with creative director Ben Gallegos as full-time designer at Grandarmy. I created the storyboard, design elements to use across all Vans platforms, and animations for the 30-sec hero promo. Playing with mixed media concepts, I created frames in different styles, including hand-drawn pencil, watercolor, claymation, vintage video game, and collage.
It has raised more than $2 million for nonprofits across the world.
